X1 is being developed by a team at Idealabs based in Pasadena, CA. The program is similar to a product called Lotus Magellan that was published in 1989. Several members of the original Magellan team have joined X1. In addition X1 technologies products are incorporated in the Yahoo Desktop Search Tool and the Snap Search Engine. It is often easier to locate obscure information on the World Wide Web than it is to find an email message or file on your own computer. This is absurd. X1's mission is to make all information easily accessible.
